Kathleen Fitzpatrick on “Why the Humanities Matter and How to Save Them”

The Altacs in Academe Carolina Seminar invites you to join us for Dr. Kathleen Fitzpatrick’s keynote lecture for the 2016 CHAT Festival. Dr. Fitzpatrick, the Associate Executive Director and Director of Scholarly Communication at the Modern Languages Association, will speak on “Generous Thinking: Why the Humanities Matter, and How to Save Them.” She has been a leading proponent, as well as an exemplar, of alternative career paths for PhDs, having left a tenured position to take her post at the MLA.
